This doesn't work for me.
I'm quite a fan of Micah P Hinson, but this album of covers didn't work for me. The covers of standards - My Way, Suzanne, Are You Lonesome Tonight, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, The Times They Are A Changin' are uninspired, and have been covered endlessly [and more interestingly] elsewhere. Micah's voice is quite astonishing but seems wasted here on these [mostly] tired old pub jukebox staples.
But he does win my personal award for Person Who Least Resembles Their Voice. He sounds like a knarled craggy faced bar veteran, but actually looks like a small trainee computer systems programmer. Not a criticism, just an observation!
For newcomers to Micah P Hinson, I would recommend 'Drift Off To Sleep' from the Opera Circuit LP or 'Me And You' from the 'Dream Of Her' ep.
