The album of 2010 - quite possibly

If you liked The 59 Sound, then this is another album for your collection. A much more mature and personal album shows the progress that Brian Fallon and the band have made in a very short space of time. Songs like Bring it on, Boxer, The Diamond Church St Choir and Old Haunts will become live favourites. When Gaslight are in full flight, they feel like the only band in the world who have ever mattered. This album ensures that they are a band that matter. Download it and you won't regret it.

American Slang

The Gaslight Anthem are on fire, even after just two albums, and if you loved The '59 Sound then there should be no questions asked, just buy this album. American Slang is a extremely good follow up to The '59 Sound, and now i have no idea which album i prefer because they are both incredible albums. Every thing that I liked about the first album, whether is be the catchy choruses, the groovy 50's sound, the great lyrics, is here but is much better. The Gaslight Anthem are fast becoming one of my favourite bands and the standout tracks on this album are American Slang, Old Haunts, Bring It On, She Loves You, Boxer and The Diamond Church Street Choir.

The Gaslight Anthem rose out of the fertile punk scene of New Brunswick, NJ, flaunting a unique style that melded the influence of Bruce Springsteen, Wilson Pickett, and various Motown groups with the rough, emotional grit of Hot Water Music and Jawbreaker.
