Customer Reviews

Essential until an artist album is released...

It's nice to see Anjuna releasing an album with all his best works on it, and I really really do like Mat Zo he has fantastic flare that I rarely see now-a-days. His beats are melodic and invigorating and he's a perfect addition to the Anjuna label. I'm really looking forward to when he'll release his own name though :)

Raw entrancing talent.

The guys just on it. His DnB as MRSA is equally as melodic and beautiful. I'v no doubt he'll get ridiculously far if he chooses to do so and at only 21 hes got a nice bit fat juicey catalogue ahead of him (hopefully)

Master of Melody

I love music. And I love melody. Many (most) artists find success on one maybe two melodies (The KiLLERS) and then ride their careers and albums (COLDPLAY) out without ever finding another sweet melody. Some artists produce melodies in abundance but are never recognised as widely as they should be (GiNGER WiLDHEART) and some become huge initially for reasons other than their melodies but interest is maintained subconsciously because time after time the artist continues to produce sweet melodies (Tom Delonge from BLiNK 182). Of course many would argue that music doesn't have to be melodic and whilst I agree when a great melody grabs you there is no greater feeling. Which brings me to Mat Zo. 21 and already he has managed to grab from the ether some ridiclulously sweet sounding melodies and pin them down. Will he maintain this or will he get bored and start exploring his sound? It doesn't really matter. Right now this producer is at the TOP of his game. Deadmaus, Avicii, Guetta, Kaskade etc are finding (and ripping off) the odd killer melody here and there but this boy...WOAH!! everything that is coming out of this dude is worth listening to.
