wonderful tunes
A wonderful album to beat the winter blues and mellow you into the spring. I love Pete Townshed, he adds the magical touch to this beautiful album. Great for late nights or getting in from work. Baba O'Riley is the outstanding track, go on and treat yourself to something special.
Pure and Raw Tallent
I purchased 'Baba O'Riley' and 'The Seeker'. They are both brilliant songs. Playing on The Seeker is brilliant, even with the sudden vocal change. On Baba, it's a beautiful experience - with just the guitar, piano and vocals, it's just brilliant! The Who should really play it like this some time. Some of the others sound good but I'd full recommend these two songs for anyone.
Out Of The Attic
Despite the obvious loss of the visual element which came with the original interrnet broadcasts the audio can still stand up and be counted. Whilst not to audiophile standard the intimacy and off the cuff nature of the performances are at the core of it's appeal. Best for me are Rachel's super cover of Joni's "Blue" PT's brave solo rendition of "A Quick One" and the fantastic Scottish band the Fratellis...check them out! Shame that the Flaming Lips version of "I Can't Explain" was overlooked and "Baba O'Riley" used instead. Roll on Volume 2 Helpless Dancer
