Exceptional

I've never really been into 'mainstream' Hip/Hop as I am with 'underground' Hip/Hop but ever since I first saw B.o.B on TV ages back before his single was released, I had a feeling he was special. And he is. When asked about his collaboration with Hayley Williams from Paramore, he said: 'Paramore is the sh*t', instantly deterring true Hip/Hop devotees. Not me though, and I'm glad it didn't. His lyrical abilities are very slick. For example: 'I break all the rules like Evel Knievel, it's a spectacular show, 'cause my heart pumps diesel' (Magic feat. Rivers Cuomo) and 'Always in detention for the lack of my attention, you can call it deficit, but really I just didn’t listen' (The Kids feat. Janelle Monae) really flow and give you a true sense of B.o.B's abilities.

One major upside to B.o.B is that he's lyrically great WITH AND WITHOUT the help from more known artists. 'Airplanes, Pt. II' includes Hayley Williams and Eminem. It's a great track but 'Don't Let Me Fall' (album opener) is just as good in my opinion. He can shine without constantly depending on major artists, something which doesn't happen often for mainstream artists. Like the other reviewer, I too waited until midnight to get this. And trust me, it's REALLY worth getting.

STAND-OUT SONGS: 'Don't Let Me Fall', 'Nothin' On You', 'Airplanes' and 'Airplanes Pt. II, 'Ghost In the Machine', 'I'll be In the Sky', 'The Kids' and 'Magic'. Basically, the whole album. BUY IT!

Album of 2010?

Honestly, don't complain about Airplanes, Pt. II being album only-that should be even more reason to pick this album up. B.o.B is definitely one of the best hip-hop artists out today, this album is the album of the year so far, and everyone should have this in their library.

There is not one bad song on the album. Beginning soulfully with Don't Let Me Fall and Nothin' On You, it then turns into a great Summer song in Past My Shades with Lupe. Aside from this, there is the incredibly catchy Magic to the already universally acclaimed Airplanes and Airplanes, Pt. II. Any song I haven't mentioned is not because I dislike it, more because I don't think my words can justify the greatness of this album. Anyone who doesn't have it, get it now! Anyone who does, you will agree with me, it does not disappoint!

1 song can make a change ;)

5 star just for the hayley Williams

Biography

Born: 15 November 1988 in Decatur, GA

Genre: Hip-Hop/Rap

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Of all the rap artists who emerged from Atlanta during the late 2000s, B.o.B — who was only 17 when he signed his first major-label record deal — was one of the most unique. His borderline eccentricity and artistic mind, belied by his music's conventional Dirty South sound, raised his stock above his Southern comparisons and welcomed comparisons to OutKast (specifically that group's offbeat half, André 3000). B.o.B also chose his...
