Avoid like the plague
This is the last time I will ever buy a classical album before checking out the pedigree of the artists.
Within seconds of the first movement playing, the brass was so raucous, unrefined and out of tune that I thought something was wrong with the sound settings on my ipod.
I assumed this was an aberration and it would get better. But it didn't. The whole recording is an utter mess. Throughout, the ensemble is ragged, untidy and unmusical.
It's an appalling, amateurish effort that would just about pass for a good school orchestra. Definitely not something worth a premium price.
Within minutes of purchasing this horrible excuse for music, I simply decided to cut my losses, delete it, and buy a proper recording.
The one good thing that has come of this is that it has taught me that just because it is selling on iTunes at a premium price doesn't mean it's any good. I will be much more careful in future.
