Yo-Yo Ma! 

I love Yo-Yo Ma! His tecnique and the way he plays is so great. I play cello and it would be my dream to meet him. He's awesome. And so is Bach, the cello suites are really nice and easy to listen to. 

A great piece of music.

I thought that this was a beautifully perormed album. The music of Bach is very relaxing, although I was a bit cnfused when I read the digital booklet that came with it. Yo-Yo Ma talks about "the 18th century architect
Giovanni Battista Piranesi, with whom I have had imaginary conversations", I'm not entirely sure what he means by this and why he would choose to publish something as personal as this. Good music though.

Yo-Yo Ma is the cello's foremost contemporary proponent; while primarily a classical performer, he has also made a number of highly successful crossover recordings. Born October 7, 1955 to Chinese parents living in Paris, he began playing the cello at the age of four, later studying with Janos Scholz; in 1962, he also became the pupil of Leonard Rose at the Juilliard School, and was the recipient of the prestigious Avery Fisher Prize in 1978.
