Mat Zo had a fantastic year in 2010 on the Anjunabeats Label. He is without doubt one of the stand out artists for Anjuna—Beats & Deep. 2011 is going to be a fantastic year for Mat Zo. Keep up the good work Sir.
MAT ZO BACK IN TIME / MILENNIA - EP
Before I write this review here, whenever I write reviews. I always try to promote them in the best ways possible, and to do this justice I will take quotes here and there from the actual sites themselves, added with my own personal comments as well. Mat Zo is one of the most exciting producers of his generation, and he's the type of producer who is always willing to take chances with his productions. Creating the most forward-thinking fusions as a result. 'Back In Time' begins with a shuffling, tribal tinged tech groove and swinging bassline, which then filters into waves of rising and buzzing synths, with climatic melodies which twist and turn into more emotive musical shapes and soundscapes, during the breakdown before snapping back cleverly into an electro-style musical backdrop. Building back into a melodic monster of a track.
'Back In Time' is the perfect blend of hypnotic groove and classic trance melody-all delivered through Mat Zo's unique and futuristic production sound. 'Milennia' is an epic progressive trancer which lifts into a stadium trance breakdown full of neo-classical synths. Mat Zo is as innovative as he always is, and once again delivers an absolute storming two track EP here. Another name that is hugely, hugely popular on 'Anjunabeats'. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
