A Promising Start

As their first album, it is not as strong as their later CD's, which you should find and buy now.

It does however contain a mix of great sings and positive messages. Songs designed to make you think and believe. It avoids the cliches of most Religious music of stating that "God is great" in only a limited way and limited lyrics.

Never Alone is just one song that highlights this, you could take the song as a beautiful and touching song about someone missing a loved one who hasn't been there when you needed them, but you Still love them. But from the point of view of a religiious song, it is one about feeling that although God may not always be there for you when you think you need him, He is there when He needs to be. That he gives us what we need and not just what we want.

That is quite a lyrical accomplishment and that the song is a haunting and memorable one too speaks well for the future. An Album of songs from a Young Womans point of view about growing up in a time when beleiving and acting in faith can be hard based on the images and pressures of a modern World. Do yourself a favour and buy this and inspire yourself.

Brilliant!

Some really great tracks on this album, but I must say, Another Journal Entry (Expanded Edition) is cheaper, better and has some awesome BarlowGirl tracks on it. However, this is deffo worth it's money and if you're a BG fan, you should buy this!

With a solid grassroots campaign and a single that gained momentum on Christian Hit Radio, it looked like their faith paid off. Their eponymous debut was produced by Otto Price (dc...
