there is no other way to explain it Daniel Jonston cant sing or write i cant believe it got onto itunes on the first place
Love his work but this isn't great
I'd somehow missed this album until a random googling led me here. This is really disappointing, some tracks are incoherent messes, the driven groove of "Last Song" becomes a ramshackle mess, like some terrible undead zombie version. The orchestrated versions just don't fit the songs and often sounds like everyone is playing different songs.
I do consider myself to be a fan of Daniel's music but can't recommend more heartily that you spend your money on something else from his plentiful discography.
