BRILLIANTE

This is a brilliant album for serious music lovers! Especially The judgement at midnight and Prime time! Well worth buying!

EXCELLENT!

Serious music lovers wont need to be introduced to Gary Lucas - The one time Captain Beefheart guitarist and Jeff Buckley collaborator (amongst many many others) Has been at the forefront of the avant rock scene for many years...This album even includes guitar versions of some of his work with the late, great Jeff Buckley - notably 'Rise up to be' and 'And you will' - Buckley fans will recognize these guitar masterpieces as the original templates for 'Grace' and 'Mojo Pin'. British Electronic band 'The Dark Poets' - lead by producer James R Hunter - have long been bubbling under the surface of the underground with their soundtrack to Alex Chandons 'Cradle of Fear' and 'Borderline' as well as a notable array of releases and remixes - The Dark Poets put in a fine performance on this record (take note) - the opening tracks 'The Judgement at midnight' and 'Primetime' are stunning - and the perfect start to an album that really does take the listener on a dark and atmospheric emotional rollercoaster. The album covers various genres and moods - both electronic and guitar based - from the dark bluegrassy 'Breath of Bones' (one of Garys solo efforts on the album) to the paranoid hard techno track 'The Diabolical Principle' - to the energic drum and bass cinematica of 'Real Horrorshow' - Techno legends 'The Grid also make an appearance with a remix of Judgement at midnight. It's an excellent album - pick of the album - 'Prime Time' 'The Judgement at Midnight' 'Rise up to Be' and 'Real Horrorshow' - it's an eclectic mix of genres...but one not to be ignored.

Lucas then focused wholly on the guitar, and played in various groups throughout the '60s. As a campus station music director during his second year at Yale, Lucas saw Captain Beefheart...
