Sounds pretty good to me
Its a shame that those who have bought this, and other albums they may have regretted, can't somehow sell them on as 'second hand'. I'll buy this when I next get paid. I would buy it now off the reviewer who does'nt like it if I could. I like the sound of most of the collaborative work here. I also think OVO is a classic highly under-rated album. If you like this try OVO. Peter Gabriel does his 'world' stuff in his own way, which has always generated responses of love it/hate it. A lot of the music press in the late 1970s used to lay into him regularly and at times be quite vindictive. But he has always been one of our more experimental musicians who is prepared to do his own thing. Good.
Excellent
Finally it arrives the long awaited, long discussed Big Blue Ball project. A great collection of artists from around the world brought together by Peter Gabriel at his Real World Studios, this is the album that the studio is meant for - been some 15 years in the making with stops and starts but goes to show you can't rush a good thing. Buy the album and enjoy the music!
Pure Joy
Some of the people who have reviewed this album seem to forget that without PG/Real World and his devotion to 'World Music' (I hate that term) we would not be listening or have access to so much of it today. A wonderful uplifting album, pure Joy! Worth the wait! SimG
