Amazing.

As a massive fan of nirvana , but born post - kurt , i have discovered Nirvana by downloading there tracks off itunes. I started off with Nevermind and then craving more and more it took me to buy this. It's brilliant in every way. Angry and fuelled with agression and depression. Plus I'd imagine the re-mastered tracks are an improvement on the $600, 30 hour recording session of the original. And all the pine street theatre tracks sound amazing , especially school and blew. And i wierdly enjoyed the digital booklet. So i'd buy it if i was you because its definatly worth it..

Good but not great

It's interesting to see how this band got started, but some of the songs don't sound that great, almost like he is having a fit with his guitar in front of the mic. The live stuff is pretty good, and at this price you can't complain. My only complaint is where the hell is my digibook? I still don't know where to find it.

Very good.

This is Nirvana's debut and I like it. I only got into Nirvana a few months ago, and Nevermind is still better, but this is definitely worth a listen and certainly worth buying. £8 may seem a lot but it's great value considering there's the bonus live show at the end. About a Girl and School are my favourites on here, but Floyd the Barber and Negative Creep are also fantastic. I loved it. I love grunge. I love Nirvana.

After the band's second album, 1991's Nevermind, nothing was ever quite the same, for better and for worse. Nirvana popularized punk, post-punk, and indie rock, unintentionally bringing it into the American mainstream like no other band to date. While their sound was equal parts Black Sabbath (as learned by fellow Washington underground...
