i purchased this album on the back of listening to a song played on the radio by bob harris on his bbc radio 2 country show recently. i was blown away by corinnes voice and the type of music she plays, contemporary folk with an americana feel that evokes the sierra mountains, the wild terrain and freedom that corinne grew up in! this album does not disappoint, it is full of catchy songs with great lyrics the best being 'angel', 'mother to child' and the title track 'bound for the living' my first impression when hearing corinne was her vocal similiarity to the early linda ronstadt 70's,and a gillian welch type playing style. buy this album and try and see her live show, the enthusiasm she displays is infectious!
