A masterful debut

This album follows the release of two singles “Killing Me” and “Every Bone” and, drawing from 80’s post punk influences, pulls no punches as it broods and swoons in classic indie style. The album is comprises of a wonderful array of beautifully crafted songs, from the introspective heartfelt ballads “Lullaby” and “Kiss Me” to the epic indie anthem “Every Bone”, passing through the sharp fast sound of “Killing Me”, “Harrier” and “Us Against Them All”.

Following in the footsteps of great UK frontmen, lead singer Teddy Quick charms us with his passionate, tender and heartfelt lyrics, serenading the recurring themes of love, loneliness and the longing for acceptance and understanding. The music is built upon the driving bass of Jimi Laff (nephew of Mark Laff – Generation X and Subway Sect) and the solid drums of Tom Hargreaves, allowing guitarist Dave Gritzman to paint a dynamic canvas for Teddy to express himself.

If 2011 is the year guitar bands make their come back, “Boy in the Blitz” will take its rightful place in this revolution and it’s not just me who thinks so, “…we feel this year will be a big year for them [Rev78]… Give the album a listen and you won’t regret it.” Justin, Entertainment Focus
