Understated but beautiful

If you have yet to see the film, then I would advise that you make a note to do so. I am only sixteen, but found it very moving and also beautiful. It is clearly not an expensive film, and do not expect anything of a particularly racy plot, but it is still subtly brilliant. The music is as good as the film, and makes it what it is. I personally would buy the film and not the music, but I would not advise against buying both :)

Beautiful movie and beautiful soundtrack

Brick Lane is simply beautiful. The book, the film and the soundtrack. It is really underestimated and the soundtrack certainly helps to create the mood in the movie-simply magic and breathtaking. Buy it if you love it :)

This album's since become a regular listen on my ipod, with an easy but not corny mix of indian and classical sounds. Great accompaniment to an indian meal at home.
