This just came out of leftfield!
This is a really great album - Truly is meloncolic. Apart from a nod to Lou Reed, I can also hear PJ Harvey [in the female led tracks - notably By My Side & Praying Ground] & Recoil [Alan Wilder - Rolling Sky & Pharaoah's Child]. There are also hints of The Bad Seeds bluesy / jazzy organ grinding and basslines. I'm on my second listen already and loving it. A brilliant surprise considering I was really bored and just trying things at random. If you've got £8 to spare don't blow it on Stella - download this!

Amazing albumn - you will miss me when i burn is an exceptional song
Souls saved!
An exceptional record, equal parts Death in Vegas (when they were good) and Primal Scream, yet probably greater on this offering than both. Lanegan's voice, weathered and soulful, evokes a darkly brooding Johnny Cash for 2009 - A triumph in all areas.
