iTunes Review
Better known as actor/comedian Donald Glover (seen each week on NBC's Community), Childish Gambino got his name from the online Wu-Tang Name Generator and has already released three albums and two mixtapes for free online. Camp is his first official album, and it finds him mining the same territory as Kid Cudi, Jay Cole, and early Kanye, with self-aware verses and tons of pop culture references woven among rebuttals to hipster-rap haters and race-related commentary, backed by unusual production that bounces between glitchy electro, sweeping orchestration, and jumpy pop-rap anthems. More about the lyrics than the beats, Camp is an undeniably unique album that may take a few listens to get into. But it's well worth the effort, especially if you're sick of the standard money tales that dominate commercial radio. "Backpackers" "Hold You Down", and "All the Shine" are highlights.

Love this Donald Glover!
I love Donald Glovers comedy and acting (check out community if you havn't already) but this is the best thing he does. His music as Childish Gambion is absolute genius, one of the best hip-hop albums in a while!
Gambino is a mastermind
I've been a big fan of Childish Gambino since I 1st heard Freaks n Geeks and since then he's progressed a lot as an artist.
The ending to the album is just amazing, but the stand out tracks for me are Bonfire and Heartbeat.
Jay Z and Kanye better watch the throne!
Outstanding album! In a world dominated by sub par rappers like Lil Wayne and Drake, Donald Glover breaths life into a dying genre, easily up there with Kanye, Jay Z and Immortal Technique.
