Album Review
British ex-military singer/songwriter and consummate lady's man James Blunt watched his career go from coffeehouses to stadiums in 2005 with the smash hit "You're Beautiful." Blunt's Rod Stewart-esque croak, wry humor, and earnest balladry is on full display for WEA International's Chasing Time: The Bedlam Sessions, a two-disc collection of live performances, interviews, documentaries, and videos that showcases the amorous Brit's winning stage presence and talented band as they play in Ireland and at the BBC. There's a lot to see here for an artist with only one record under his belt, and listeners just warming to the artist's throaty tenor may be better off picking up Back to Bedlam, but for fans looking for a glimpse of the "real" James Blunt, these Bedlam Sessions are gold at the end of the rainbow.

Great Live Album
Please ignore the first few reviews. This has not been released as a new album it is a chance to hear James Blunt live, and fantastic it is too. There are 3 tracks that are not on The Back to Bedlam album, which are Fall At Your Feet, Sugar Coated and Where Is My Mind. Do not purchase this album if you think you are getting new material but if you want to listen to a great emotionally charged live performance then this is highly recommended. James is currently touring the UK and abroad still promoting the Back To Bedlam Album and is going into the studio later this year to start recording his second album so this one is a nice little bonus for James Blunt fans.
the balanced view
OK, I can see everybody's view on this one. Some of you think it is just the same as the old album, some think it is fantastic, new and original. Frankly, as many of the tunes sound the same, it is not original enough to buy unless you are a real James Blunt fan. However, it is a great addition to any James Blunt fan's collection and there are some fantastic acoustic versions. Anyone who is surprised by the fact it is just like his first album should learn to read the track listings before pressing the 'buy' button. 1 star is a bit harsh unless you hate James Blunt anyway, 5 stars is a bit over the top, it is simply not new enough for that. I definitely don't regret buying the album, I just doubt I shall listen to this one and 'Back to Bedlum' back to back.
Amazing
Can i just say that the people on here are saying change your stuff, well firstly its a live tour so people would expect the 'same stuff' you wouldnt buy a Robbie Williams live at so and so and expect stuff you have never heard before, stop hating this guy, just because an average joe has made it, you cant stand him, i love this album, its amazing, so all you haters out htere, when something else comes along, go hate them
