Album Review
The incredible range of Thomas Otten's lovely voice is a happy accident: instead of shifting wholly to a lower register during puberty, it simply added that depth to Otten's boyhood vocal range, allowing him to sing contralto as an adult (in addition to more typical parts). The results, as displayed on his debut album, Close to Silence, are frequently stunning, with Otten using his increased expressive powers to achieve a correspondingly wide emotional range. New-age fans will likely find this album inspiring and uplifting.

Close to Silence
This is my little secret - an absolute stunner - new age it maybe, but don't be put off, Thomas Otten has an outstanding voice. The track Espiritu was played daily on Classic FM when it was on Sky TV - sadly its not shown any more. Each track is a gem, get this on your ipod now for some serious r 'n 'r, and wait until the final track to then send you to heaven, 'A Quiet Moment' is pure bliss. this is the only way to get this now and the not quite as accessible follow up CD Portraits.
Once you have heard it it will become the most played in your collection - I guarantee it.
