Top Notch (as ever)
Good job I was'nt holding my breath waiting for this!, (why keep us wating soooo long Beth?) but at last something new from a woman who has consistantly written beautiful, understated SONGS!!!!!! It's a real grower and all i wish for is a time machine to get me to the release date of the album. Love it!
Gorgeous
I'm lovin' this one. Has a great melody and the guitars and bass line are ace. Sounds like a picnic by a stream on a warm summers day. I'm a big fan of Beth and am lookin' forward to the new album big time.
Back on form
The last Beth Orton album was very disappointing but I've heard the new one (Comfort Of Strangers) and there's about 4 really good songs on it: Feral Children, Shopping Trolley, Absinthe and this one -Conceived- her best single since Central Reservation.
