ever heard the baseballs? All they do is cover songs, and they are awesome. In fact their cover of hot n cold by Katy perry is better than the original. Covers are everywhere mate, they don't do it to become famous because of another artist, they just use the lyrics and give it their own twist. Must agree with Westbound hero saw her live and chatted backstage last year where she covered Kid Cudi's Pursuit of Happiness its not about trying to be famous its how she interprets the song...you just didn't get it.

Lissie Maurus was raised in the riverside town of Rock Island, IL, and she drew upon those blue-collar Midwestern origins to create her own form of indie folk music. The granddaughter of an international barbershop quarter champion, she grew up singing in theater productions, eventually picking up the guitar and playing her own songs at local coffeeshops as a teenager. Lissie was also something of a rebel; she got thrown out of high school during her senior year, spent a brief period at Colorado...
