iTunes Review
Say what you will about Curtis Jackson’s admittedly dubious contributions to the rap game — there’s no denying that the man has a sound. The tensional, blocky beats we’ve come to know from Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and The Massacre have only become tenser and blockier on Curtis. 50 Cent has achieved riches beyond anyone’s wildest dreams, and his dominant lyrical theme remains his own massive success, yet there is something tortured and restless in the rhythms of “Man Down” and “Straight To the Bank” that suggests a man banging his head against the walls of a cage. Beneath its million-dollar bravado, perhaps Curtis is a concept album about its author’s confinement in a self-imposed psychological cell? Regardless of your personal interpretation, 50’s third album fully represents everything the rapper stands for. The grimy sonics of “I Get Money” and “Ayo Technology” offer disorienting thrills, but “Amusement Park” is little more than a failed remake of the 2005 hit “Candy Shop.” The album’s best tracks come towards the end. 50 hits his stride on the Mary J. Blige duet “All of Me,” while “Curtis 187” begins to resemble something the RZA might have devised. At this stage in his career, 50 Cent should be reclining in the lap of luxury but Curtis reveals a current of terrific frustration — confirmed by the close-up portrait on the album’s cover — suggesting that wealth has done little to resolve this man’s inner demons.

Suprise - Unoriginal - again
What a suprise this album is so unoriginal. All it does is guns drugs and hoes. Kanye destroys this, rapping about feelings other than shooting people. Some are the beats are good but ruined by 50 cent repeating lyrics on all his albums. How many times in his career does he wanna say 'hot as a tea kettle'! Sorry 50 your not anymore. Your out the game. Un-inspiring to young artists and un-original to be called one of the greats.
The Truth
1. theres alot of people on here who are talking about 50 being the future of hip - hop etc. you are simply un-educated. im not here to say 50 or kanye is better, but before you make statements, please look a little deeper. try listening to nas, krs one, cunninlynguists, MF Doom, Madlib, Celph Titled, Mobb Deep (pre-blood money), Rakim etc. these lyrics have meaning and not the standard mainstream guns/hoes/bling. 2. 50 is making 'hip-hop' for children, and he KNOWS it. by taking advantage of the shallow nature of the mainstream audience, he is 'laughing all the way to the bank' as he so nicely puts it in his song. he isnt the only one either: look at Mims - This is why im hot. no-one remembers anything about the song apart from the chorus, and he states in a verse 'i could make a mil saying nothing on the track', and he has. open your ears people.

All haters need to get off 50's back!!! He's still makin some very good tunes and Curtis isnt his best but I prefer it to the Massacre. I also think that he is definetly more hip-hop than Kanye and I'm definetly feeling this album. Best tunes are probably Come and Go, Fire, All of Me, and I get Money always puts you in a good mood! Well in Fiddy!
