iTunes Review

Even pop fans used to surprises must’ve done a double take when Gorillaz’ “Feel Good Inc.” became an inescapable hit in 2005. Its blend of Damon Albarn’s detached vocal, Kinks-style bridge and fast-paced contribution from art-hop pioneers De La Soul suggested a restless film soundtrack, not a major airplay hit. Making even the multimedia outfit’s eclectic debut sound a bit shy about leaping genre barriers, Demon Days was nicely represented by the single. Blending futurism with a downbeat assessment of current life on Earth, its sonic swirl indeed brought to mind visuals beyond the accompanying cartoon characters who “make up” the “band.” “Every Planet We Reach is Dead” was fit for a striptease on a space station, while the Santa Esmeralda-like disco fusion of “Dare” brought to mind a horse-opera knockoff of Kill Bill. Albarn and co-founder Dan “The Automator” Nakamura proved that such gamesmanship would find many wide-open ears.

A Brilliantly Different Album

Gorillaz after a quiet spell have come back with an amasing new album with different styles of tunes including other stars like shawn ryder and even a childrens quior, if you haven't really got into the style of Gorillaz last albums you will this one 2 particular favoarites of mine are feel good inc. and Dare. so give it a try you never know you might like it ;-) J

Demonic Head-Nodding

After their original album, the self-titled 'Gorillaz' I was expecting new things from the animated ensemble. After a curved brow initial listen, the subtle build-ups of beats in Demon Days are what made the album a star buy for me. 'Kids with Guns', 'Dare' and 'Fire coming Out of a Monkey's Head' are particulary impessive with the vocal work. The ALbum is a good car album, but just as good at getting heads nodding on sofas.

top of the tree

If you have any doubt about buying this album ,dont ,buy it now ,i repeat buy it now it is without doubt one of the best albums of the year .All the songs on it are brilliant .I seem to listen to this album every day and i never get bored, there seems to be something new on every listen.Go on treat yourself, you wont regret it.
