Fruitbat at his very best
Ex Carter guitarist Fruitbat combined his first 3 EPs from Abdoujaparov to make this very enjoyable album. Quite obviously the punkier side of the Carter writing partnership, Fruity knocks out some cracking tracks and sing-along ditties with his band (who can rival The Fall on the number of incarnations!). Rose is simply lovely and Fire Tender Red a touching song about a young arsonist!! The remainder of the album is '77 inspired punk rock at its very best. For those of you enjoying this collection, then I suggest you try some later releases and those of the stripped down version of Abdoujaparov, iDou (Fruity, Richie and an iPod shuffle!). Enjoy!
At last!
Great to see Abdoujaparov on iTunes at last. Especially for those of us that discovered them later on and weren't able to buy the earlier albums like this one. Some excellent songs on here, Aren't We All and Maria's Umbrella are faves :)
