Commanding vocal performances on a TV talent show cast the spotlight on this Pittsburg native — less than a year later, the precocious prodigy teams with GRAMMY® and Academy Award®-winning producer David Foster (Céline Dion, Michael Bublé). “When You Wish Upon a Star” is an apropos opener for an album titled Dream With Me. The 10-year-old’s magical rendition of the Disney original is soaring and startlingly composed. This 14-song collection also includes a recording of the Italian aria that helped Evancho gain acclaim (“Nessun Dorma”). Despite being tremendously capable of shining on her own, Dream With Me boasts two superstar duets. Barbra Streisand helps deliver a radiant performance of operatic and optimistic “Somewhere” (West Side Story), while Evancho is joined by fellow talent-show-phenom Susan Boyle for sentimental “A Mother’s Prayer”.
