Triumph of an album
I have been playing this album in my car for a week and just cannot find a fault with it, amazingly not 1 single weak track , kicking off with Reason to Believe a favourite played live , every track features melodic tunes , excellent lyrics and musicianship aof the highest skill.
Andy Powell's voice has turned into a real instrument , Joe Crabtree on drums and Bob Skeat on bass drive the music with Muddy Manninen and Andy Powell providing the classic twin guitar lead , every track deserves attention , I won't bore you with an album review track by track as all are truly superb , my favourite's are alternating presently can't stop repeating Warm Tears !
Classic ash
I had this album for a little while now and have heard a few of the numbers live.
Sometimes you'll hear something live an think it's great and the album is a let down not this time. Can't go it alone for example is a rocking live track but the studio version with the extra instruments it makes it even better.
All the songs are superbly written and sung perfectly. And the production is top quality.
Well done Andy, Bob, Muddy & Joe
Cracking album
I only got into this band a few years back and seen them live a number of times now..was not sure what to expect with a full album of new material...so took a chance...well, not a duff track..harder edge than previous and everybody in the band gives their all...can't wait for the next gig and hear some of this live....
