Album Review
On his third album overall, 2007's Elements of Life, Dutch DJ Tiësto manages to retain his focus on the style of music that has gotten him this far in the first place — trance and electronic. But this time around, he also adds bits of rock and pop to the dance party. Featuring input from several vocalists (Charlotte Martin, Julie Thompson, Christian Burns, and Jes), as well as BT, who has collaborated with Tiësto in the past, the end result is an album that sounds custom-made for blaring on a dancefloor in a trendy New York City club — "Ten Seconds Before Sunrise," "Break My Fall" (which features BT), and "In the Dark" (which features Burns) — the latter of which is probably the most crossover worthy track that Tiësto has ever penned.

Pure Genius
This album is Tiesto at his best, an awesome collection of music from the mellow "ten seconds before sunrise" which you can just lay back and lose yourself, to the amazing "in the dark feat. christian burns" . For any fan of trance music this album is a must buy and is the perfect follow on to Tiesto's last solo album "Just Be" which in itself was one of the best solo albums produced by any artist. In my opinion with "Elements of Life" Tiesto has managed to surpass all his previous achievements. One track to look out for is " Elements of Life" which has feelings of Tiesto's most successful hit .. Adagio for Strings.
Tiësto - Elements of Life
It's a decent album, although "Parade of the Athletes" has to be regarded as Tiësto 's finest work in my opinion, not to be put off though "Elements of Life" still has some cracking tracks "Break My Fall" being the best tune on this album, Brian Transeau (BT) lending his vocal talents to yet another Tiësto track!!! "Carpe Noctum" is like classic oldskool Tiësto, with the great build ups, an classy break downs to boot!!! Another potential anthem, thankfully without any lame vocals spoiling the track!!! Anything with Jes Brieden's name next to it such as "Everything" should not be ignored, she's an amazing talent, an I look forward to hearing her new album "Disconnect"!!! "Ten Seconds Before Sunrise", "Bright Morningstar", "Sweet Things" & "Elements of Life" make up the rest of the pretty decent tunes!!! The rest aren't anything to shout an scream about!!! "In The Dark" will take some time getting use too, but Carl B has however done a fine remix surpassing the original so not all is lost!!!
utter genius
this is just utter genius, Tiesto is amazing, if i didn't do such naughty things anymore then i would go and get thoroughly pilled up to listen to this. as it is it is still great to run too. if you like Tiesto or trance in general you will love this. if you don't then buy the last track as it is just lovely and ambient. awsome.
