BMW - See how it feels music...

Head straight to Track 13 if you recall the track from the BMW 'See how it feels' campaign. Although not a new album in the usual sense, this collection of 'left on the shelf' music is surprisingly as good as their previous work. They never fail to let down and always aim for more with music. It's no surprise then the rollcall of guests who want to work with these guys. The more ambient instrumentals I found were nice and moody and reminded me of micheal mann films like heat and collateral as well as Traffic. Nice dark twisted beats in Black Mass which sounds like blackouts evil brother that's been locked in the celler for years. Piano Echoes, the final track, is probably my favourite. It's a great bridge from Never, Never land to War Stories. A must.

A gem! Not what I thought, soooo much better

Wow - only heard a couple of Unkle tracks before, but was completely caught off-balance by this album. Fast becoming my favourite download this year!! The Piano Echoes is a great track to play just after it has rained, looking out the window and emptying your mind...

UNKLE are incredible artists, and this is no expception

Some of their most profound, well thought-out and delivered work, this album is incredible but not for the faint-hearted. This is a mature and introspective album that shouldn't be used as an introduction to UNKLE, but more of a reference to their genius.

Experimental hip-hop outfit UNKLE were one of the original artists releasing material through noted U.K. label Mo' Wax, which helped launch the instrumental mid-'90s downtempo breakbeat revival eventually termed trip-hop. Though hardly the label's highest-profile group (at least until the long-delayed release of their debut LP in 1998), UNKLE's members included label head James Lavelle, who formed Mo' Wax while still in his teens as an antidote to the increasingly stale acid jazz/Northern soul scene....
