Everything (feat. Vince Harder) - EP

Real pop diversion for young Mr Money

     

Listening to a lot of his back catalogue you could very well expect this release to be more of the slightly dirty hip-hop he's produced to date which is to this listener's ear, nothing special. 'Everything' is an altogether different kettle of chicken fried rice, catchy, accessible and with a real summer feel good factor. The loopy synth that underpins the track is addictive to an almost Flat Beat (Mr Oizo) level and anyone that hasn't yet heard this on the Zane Lowe show etc. will be singing, humming and whistling it in no time. Listening throuh the whole release rather than just the radio edit, the Blame remix is a pacey, commercial D&B effort; the Zane Lowe remix a grimey/dirty dance tune and Funkagenda a trippy mix of funk and trance. Personally I wouldn't bother with any of these three tracks (in hindsight) as they offer nothing like the personality of the radio edit; 3/5 for the remixes and 5/5 for the original :)
