Absolutely unexpected yet so beautiful
If you're looking for predictable breakdowns and uplifting trance basslines you're in the wrong place. The debut album from the Australian producer is anything but magnificent. The melody is carried on through each track and you can feel the passion that went into it. Every song is different and unique and when you think its going to finish some endings are totally unpredictable. Jaytech did not include some of his earlier works such as Starbright & Spacelift which are some of the most original trance ive heard in years but it is a good thing which allowed him to expand his potential into 12 other tracks. The beauty of this album is that it takes a leap forward in terms of trance music production unlike some of the other albums released this year (Armins Imagine comes to mind). There are some drawbacks such as some tracks feeling like they're just there as being a filler and are soon forgotten but others such as Pepe's Garden, Pyramid & the great intro track really stand out. I wouldnt give it a 5 star because i rarely do, as in my opinion it means perfect, this album is far from perfect but im sure it'll grow on me just as Jaytech's earlier songs.
Excellent Debut Album
The boy done good! I have listened to this album in my car 4 or 5 times now. My trance tastes are probably more euphoric and melodic but I have to say this album is stunning. Fresh and upbeat, modern and mesmerising it truly is excellent. Only a couple of tracks are forgettable but the tracks to aim for are 4,5,6 and 7. Beautiful. They will take you to THAT place you try to reach in your escapism. Buy and enjoy :).....
fresh, crisp, clean and addictive
Anjunabeats again show that they are the saviours of trance with this fantastic album from Jaytech. Every tune on this is killer, a real smorgasboard of sharp, punchy beats and funky rhythms. This is unmistakably a trance album but if you're looking for the same ol' two-minute-breakdowns with drum rolls leading to the same place as half the trance out there leads to, then try some dusty Armada compilation instead. If you want something a more original and deeper then buy this album!
