Well worth it and still the best rock and roll album ever!

In all honesty I already have the last remastered version of Exile, complete with special addition artwork and packaging and was more than happy. Does this new version sound any different than the one I had already? Well not really! It’s very subtle but there is a slight difference and you get a little more dynamic rage, but lets be honest it’s the new tracks and the different takes that were interested in and regardless as to when Jagger may or may not have done the vocals, they sound great and will be a welcome addition to what is and always will be my favorite Stones album.

Was it worth the price of the whole album just for the new tracks…well yes! The original album does as I say sound slightly fresher for what ever they have done to it, and the new tracks just add to what I am sure many of us have always wanted more of.

If your new to the stones as a result of all the hype surrounding this release then your in for a great introduction to a band who were at their best when they made this album.

If you’re a fan and already have this album and are thinking is this worth it, my answer is without any hesitation yes this sounds even better.

I drink from the loving cup.

This has to be the greatest record the stones put out over the years. Infact i would go as far as saying it still stands up as the greatest rock 'n' roll album of all time. They managed to make sweat and dirt look extremely sexy and no other band today (where over production and clean living seems the trend) has got as much cool as they had back then. Noone seems to take risks these days!
Beg, steal or borrow just get this into your album collection.

One of the Greats

No need to go through it track by track, this album is a masterpece and needs to be listened in full. Everytrack is good and a few of them great, but overall its the blues feel that really carries this album for me, and as a person who has never listened to any stones album other then this it really makes me excited to go deeper into the Stones collection.

By the time the Rolling Stones began calling themselves the World's Greatest Rock & Roll Band in the late '60s, they had already staked out an impressive claim on the title. As the self-consciously dangerous alternative to the bouncy Merseybeat of the Beatles in the British Invasion, the Stones had pioneered the gritty, hard-driving blues-based rock & roll that came to define hard rock. With his preening machismo and latent maliciousness, Mick Jagger became the prototypical rock frontman,...
