PWEI members are back F*cking & Fighting!
It's been a long time coming but the remaining members of Pop Will Eat Itself (namely Graham Crabb and Adam Mole) have come back with a stonker of a single. After the punk rock fueled tour of the UK Vileevils went through a few changes stripping down members and their sound and the results are here for us to appreciate in all their rip-roaring glory. It's got all the elements that made PWEI successful with a cheeky spoken word intro, some clever use of sampling, a punk rock riff or two for the rockers in the house and speaking of house there's some danceable synthlines and beats which could make this a club hit. Vile evils are here, and hopefully here to stay!
At last....some musical originality!
...and it took a band from the late eighties/ early nineties to accomplish it aswell. Says a lot for todays so called indie does'nt it? Well...the lads from pop will eat itself are back! (Albeit all two of them and under a different name.) and they bring with them gifts of electro indie dance punk and any other genre you care to label them with. Im sure they dont!! The beats are obnoxious and infectious, with lacerations of sampling ( a lost art until now, if you ask me!!) and the odd incerpt of punk guitar riffs'. I dont know about you ...but im sick of the so called music that is being labelled as independent nowadays and im glad the lads are back to show em how its done!!! Nice one and about time too....
