Fantasies
I’ve given it a few listen troughs now, very very good album! It has cool and unique sounds similar to 'live it out' which was a lot of fun but pretty short on replay-ability, this album however mixes 'live it out's positive elements whilst holding on-to the great song building and relevant lyrics that old metric fans will relate to their EP and debut LP. I was pretty sceptical after 'live it out' but it’s obvious the long break between projects has really paid off with this album, definitely worth buying! My least favourite track is 'help I’m alive' but there is a bootleg acoustic version out there which is really fantastic (and I’m usually left un-impressed with acoustic variations on a theme). The rest of the album just gets better and better =D
Tasty!
This is a full english breakfast of Rock, with an extra egg! You want more sausage, here you go with 'Sick Muse'. You want extra bacon, tuck into 'Front Row'. You want more beans, blast into 'Blindless'. Your a dirty boy and want black pudding? Dig into 'Collect call' I like my eggs runny, and Metric serve them up here with brown sauce and endless buttered toast! Gave me gas, but I liked the smell!
Excellent Album
I heard of Metric while they toured with Death from Above 1979. This is their best album to date, and this should appeal to a larger audience than their previous attempts. A new style of music which elec beats, fantastic guitar riffs and ever pounding lyrics!! A contender for album of the year 2009! I really really mean this! fantastic!!
