Pure heavy metal!

This is pure heavy metal the way it was supposed to be! Catchy riffs and incredible vocals make for some amazing songs! No one else makes heavy metal like this any more!

Slightly Disappointed :P

Don't get me wrong, I love this Band, I'm even goint to see them live for the second time in a months time. However, with such high expectations due to Over the Top, I have to say that this album did not deliver. The songs lack the undefinable quality that made OTT such a breath of freash air, with the exceoption of Starchild, which is awesome. It sounds too much like a straightforward metal band trying their hand at prog. Not that theres anything wrong with the band exploring different artistic areas, it's just they atm are not as good at the progyer stuff as the straight forward trad metal.

Flying Tigers

This album is superb. After Over The Top set my expectations unbelievably high, this album blows it ( and most other metal albums from the past 10 years ) right out of the water. Fight To The Death starts the album with a pounding, infectious groove that's set to have you singing long after the album has finished, West LA Nights is a great, simple metal song which showcases the amazing talents of "Italian stallion" giovanni durst on drums. Starchild takes us into beautiful ballad territory, before the Iron Maiden-esque riffage of flying tigers batters our eardrums into submission, with some impressive vocal gymnastics from Wyatt "Screamin Demon" Anderson. Night Train to Tokyo is by far the catchiest song on the album, and the speed riffing of night stalker brings the first half of the album to a close. The second half is a 6 part concept piece entitled "Starmans son". It's here the band move away from being a rip off to something verging on originality, whilst showcasing their amazing musical talents at the same time. Download( or buy the cd, so you can appreciate the artwork and the back story of "Starmans son" ). You will not be disappointed.

Biography

Years Active: '00s

White Wizzard were formed in 2007 by vocalist James Paul Luna, guitarist James LaRue, bassist Jon Leon, and drummer Tyler Meahl, and, amid the surrounding din of retro-fitted thrash and glam rock bands crowding around them, chose to tackle the New Wave of British Heavy Metal on their eponymous seven-song EP the following year. Boasting cover art designed by Iron Maiden artist Derek Riggs, the EP drew the attention of Earache Records, which included the track "High Speed GTO" in their Heavy Metal...
