Forever - can
A great, soulful leap forward for Katie, I reckon. I was a big fan of her first album, but this little gem of an EP points the way to new looser, freer songwriting style on her forthcoming album. Still the great, heart-warming melodies, but now also more unusual arrangements and intriguing beats. It's been a while since that first album, but on these tracks Katie sounds newly confident; her voice on these recordings is every bit as sweet and soaring as when I've caught her live recently.
If this is an ad for the new album - it can't come too soon! Highly recommended for anyone that likes unpretentious, gorgeous songwriting.
