great album

great album if you like the oldskool chemical brothers buy this

Chem's Back To Basics (or not as the case may be)

It's refreshing to have a Chem's album that's stripped to just the music & beats without the semi detraction of collaborations & lyrical bites & choruses! Great to hear some building beats just as they are & reaching some great climaxes! Though as epic as Escape Velocity is, I feel it should really have been left till the last or atleast penultimate tunes like so many brilliant endings prior to this! It's a bit of an early peak that never really gets reached again unfortunately! But all the same, if you adore the Chem's like me, it's a tiny nit pick!!!

The Biggest disappointment of 2010

I bought this album because of the many reviews stating that this album was a ‘return to form’ and like the old style Chemical Brothers. This is utter codswalop! This album is dreary, repetitive and utterly dire. The only track that’s even mediocre is ‘Swoon’. If you want to listen to lo-fi influenced techno that makes you feel like you died last week and have started to smell then go right ahead, but this was by far my biggest disappointment of the year so far.
