Ghouls/Jellybean
London duo, Boe Weaver are making the rounds around town with their propulsive self-released 7” of Jellybean and Ghouls. Full of the crunchy, funk laden riffs, that Dungen used to sell when they first made their way into the studio. Of course, Boe Weaver are all up on their 60s retro psychedelia yet they hit at it with a hip hop attitude, making psychedelia a word for g-freaks and geeks. ‘Ghouls’ is almost Joe Meek metallic funk in attitude, with a horror beat and vocals. If Goblin and Dungen re-imagined themselves on a remake of the soundtrack to Suspira, it would come off like Jellybean. Look out for Boe Weaver, making the live rounds in the ‘09. We love them. You should as well.
