Hard 2nd album

JoFo have come up with the goods once again. This album is amazing! They still have the energy from 'Waited Up' but have added tracks with a little more depth. Don't worry, they still have loads of tracks played at 120 miles per hour... Love it!

Absobloodyexactly...

This 2nd album's continuation of the JoFo's form has kept me VERY happy.
With so many bands offering whimpering/commercialised/"mature" second albums, I was so glad to see one of my fav's didn't go that far. Don't get me wrong, it's not Waited up til it was Light pt. 2... nonono, it's far more melodies and lyrics to sink your teeth into.

Plus make sure you get these bonus tracks... I'm so in love with Palace Fires for it's electro-tinge and Salt, Peppa and Spinderella-esque speech... love it!

Good, Nearly Great.

After producing my favourite album of last year, Johnny Foreigner had quite a task of creating an album of a similar quality. Undoubtedly, expectations have been met - no small thanks to the improvement of songwriting. In my opinion, The Coast Was Always Clear, Criminals and Every Cloakroom Ever have virtually topped any of their previous work. So you maybe wondering what is holding this backfrom a five star album. I believe the production is definitely holding the album back in places. One can't help but feel Ghost the Festivals could have been improved by a little more studio polish. Also, this album is a little too long. Kingston... and Aberystwyth are definitely missable as with a few of the bonus tracks. However, the guitar work on the album is absolutely sublime throughout (witness it live and be truly amazed!). In my opinion, this is definitely one of the best albums I've bought this year.

Biography

Formed: Birmingham, England

Genre: Alternative

Years Active: '00s

Johnny Foreigner hails from Birmingham, England, where the trio first honed its blend of noisy co-ed vocals and rambunctious, syncopated chord structures in 2005. The following year saw the release of the band's first single, "Sometimes, in the Bullring," which sold out in two months and received airplay from BBC Radio, London Live, and XFM. Johnny Foreigner had garnered enough attention by 2007 to ink a contract with Best Before Records, and bandmates Alexei, Junior, and Kelly retired to London...
