Just..Amazing
I had this album lying around for ages.. i just thought of Jeff Buckley as "That old guy who sung Hallelujah." My friend told me about one of the songs on the album, and out of interest i had a listen. Listening to the album once was a revelation..it combines classic rock with soaring vocals, and such musical prowess i was completely shocked. After a second listen it was in my top ten albums ever...and some clear "favourites" were emerging. "Grace" is just stunning..lyrically, vocally, musically. it just works and is by far the top played song on my iTunes. "Lover, You Should've Come Over" is one of the most advanced and beautiful love songs i've heard..so accessible as well (it's about the sinking feeling of losing your love). Of course, "Hallelujah" is brilliant, but doesn't stand out as the best track, more of a downtime filler between epicness. If only there were 6 stars.
Perfect.
Captivating. Anyone who listens to this is left simply awestruck.
