an album that deserves to be listened to
handmade life is slightly darker and grittier than some of chris wood's other work, but absolutely brilliant and profoundly passionate. the band creates a sound unlike anything else, and the songs are startlingly honest.
wood's is a voice that everyone SHOULD hear, and this album is the reason why.
Angry but not loud
Brilliant picture of life in the UK right now, from downsizing to allotments and dead Brazilians on the Underground to the BNP's misuse of the Spitfire.
Stunning
A masterpeice of English Folk. This album is brilliant from beginning to end and in my opinion Chris Wood's finest album. 'Spitfires' & 'My darlings downsized' are two of the best songs I've ever heard. BUY IT!
