This amazing and gifted musician keeps you entertained from start to finish with his debut album. I found myself singing at the top of my voice and also deeply move by the powerful and poetic lyrics. This album is a must have for anyone who truly loves music. Well done Jim and the wires you are superstars in the world of music. Superb !!!!!!
Triumphant First Release
Some artists mature slowly as their albums are released down the years. Acoustim Jim's inaugural offering, "Hanging Up My Cape" however, displays the wisdom of an elderly monk on the Tibetan plateau. Regaling tales of love lost and found, Jim's tracks take the listener on a journey through exquisitely honed lyrics, peppered with worldly rhythms and lip-licking catchiness. Gliding effortlessly from the tragic to the upbeat, this album upsets and excites in equal measure.
Jim's soulful range of vocal, coupled with a funky backdrop of every musical instrument going makes the album a triumph in the true sense of the word. The only disappointment is that a follow-up album is unlikely to be released immediately...buy it, or forever lead an empty life.
