At last!
Discovered Jay Jay Pistolet a few months back on hype machine, thought he was absolutely amazing, love his voice, reminds me slightly of Marcus Mumford from Mumford & Sons. Been waiting for the EP for ages now, so thrilled its come out, and that it's so good. There's a couple of others songs they've missed off which are equally as brilliant; Oh Caroline and Let Them Grow. Hopefully they'll be on the next album though. Its so nice to hear a music artist who seems to have actual talent and a genuine passion for what he does rather than due to commercial incentives, this is some of the best stuff I've heard in a while.
Yay Jay....
Saw Jay Jay supporting Laura Marling last week, and immediately scampered home to see what was available...and after a few days wait, Happy Birthday You is now safely in my iTunes library.Everyone should own this...a quirky mix of 40s style production, great lyrics and Jay Jay's unmistakable vocals....A fantastic treat - can't wait for the album and more live dates...
