it's just ok

I've been listening to the king blues for about 4 years now, but I don't like them so much anymore, and it's not that I used to like them when weren't as popular, I liked them when they were good. This song is just average, don't get me wrong, the verse is very well written, show's that itch can still write songs, but the chorus is just embarrasing, and the production is awful, his voice comes over awfully and it's just over done. I'm not writing them off yet though, am still looking forward to the new album, but we all know they can do better this, same goes for sore throat.

Hit me like a headbutt....

Very differant from the old King Blues i.e. Under the Fog but thats probably thanks to the absence of Fruitbag. Anyway heres my rating of the songs:

1. Headbutt - 9/10 saw this live a few months ago and blew me away and the album track is just as good
2. Sore Throat - 7/10 Not as keen on this but its still King Blues and is pretty good
3. Headbutt (Dr. Meaker Remix) - 10/10 Didn't think this would work but its perfect for the song and really brings out another side for The King Blues
4. Headbutt (RUX Remix) - 8.5/10 - Not as good as the original or the Dr. Meaker Remix but still pretty good, and well worth being on the Ep

Overall a really good Ep and well worth £2.49 :)

What a mess...

The King Blues have completely sold out. Listen to some of the songs on Under The Fog, such as If I Had A Coin or Mr. Music Man, and you would think they were a completely different band. I used to love The King Blues, but I just can't listen to this. Save your money, buy Under The Fog.
