Customer Reviews
Great band at the top of their game
Saw much of this album performed on a wet Glastonbury afternoon and instantly fell in love with this band. Danny and the champions reminded me of say, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, but clearly with their own style and attitude. Some great songcraft in this album and a clear directional step towards a more rocky sound for the band from previous albums. Love it.

After becoming a leading figure in the U.K.’s Americana scene with his band Grand Drive, singer/songwriter/guitarist Danny Wilson introduced the likeminded project Danny and the Champions of the World in 2008 with a self-titled debut album on Loose Music. The label’s name was appropriate since the Champions would consist of Wilson and a loose group of musicians including friends like Joe Bennett of the band Goldrush...
