If you buy just one album this year
This album will appeal to people who really appreciate quality music. Urban Myth Club have been on my radar for about 8 months now and every track on this album exudes everything that is good about downtempo music. They will undoubtedly be pigeon holed with the likes of Zero 7, Massive Attack, Air and others of that ilk which is no bad thing but UMC do have their own style. The stand out track for me is So Beautiful, this brings back great memories of last Summer, however the excellent recently released I Feel It and Spacewalk are both equally strong. I cannot recommend this album enough.
Exhilarative & Boreal
Urban Myth Club have added a refreshingly unique dimension to my music collection. It is without a doubt one of the most beautiful down-tempo albums I have ever heard. Melodic perfection! This harmonic aurora will help you unwind and ascend to a state of pure relaxation. I hope to hear more from UMC in the future.
One day everyone will have this album
Helium is one of those sleeper albums that is spreading by word of mouth gathering a bigger and bigger following, that you can be pretty sure will eventually be in everyone's collection. It's simple and beautiful soundscapes are reminiscant of Zero Seven, Moby's "Play" and Groove Armada but have their own unique sound. The achingly beautiful centrepiece of the album "I feel it" is an instant classic.
