A stunning live band
I first saw this band at the Marlborough Little Theatre in Brighton and again in Reading recently. Their live show never fails to disappoint: these are some very talented musicians with some beautiful songs. Obvious influence from the Dresden Dolls and Amanda Palmer shows through with dramatic lyrics and the lovely addition of cello and violin. They're a rare ocurrence in today's music scene and not to be taken likely. Highly recommended! Highlights include China Doll and The Trouble (the video for which is also worth a look).
why aren't more people buying this?
Birdeatsbaby are a fantastic band, they write beautifully illustrative songs,just close your eyes whilst listening to any track off this album and you could be in a cabaret music hall listening to a melodrama unfold between your very ears. Here she comes a tumblin' shows that the 'birds' are indeed high flyers.
