New direction!
Not exactly 'Confessions on a Dancefloor' material, however, this song is certainly worth a download! It reminds me of 'Dear Jessie' from the 'Like A Prayer' album - slow tempo, catchy lines and all combined with with a 'message'! Looking forward to her performance of this at the LIVE EARTH concert. Not sure if this is a 'taster' of what is to come on the new Madonna album, but no doubt we will be dancing (in this case 'swaying') to it very soon!
Not bad
A beautfiul vocal and a lovely melody almost make up for the trite lyrics ( love yourself and you can save the planet etc). Surprisingly understated production as well from M and Pharrell Williams. This is however the kind of song that Madonna can pull off in her sleep and if you can get past the overly simplistic sentimentality of the whole thing, it is a worthy purchase. I am assuming that Apple will be making a donation to Live Earth in the same manner that Microsoft did when this was first released as a free dwonload.
