Just about the most JOYful thing I've ever heard....

Utterly beguiling and quite, quite STUNNING! Add an extra £10 to the download cost and I'd pay it just to hear Aurora Boring Alias.
Once.
And if you haven't already; do yourself a favour and buy Diamond Mine by this musical duo made in heaven......

Honest words and beautiful music

More melancholia from Creosote and Hopkins following up their amazing collaborative album released earlier this year. New track 'Honest Words' steadily builds in a similar way to Hopkins' 'Monsters' soundtrack with King Creosote's lilting vocals blending in seamlessly with some wonderful lyrics. 'Aurora Boring Alias' instrumentally has even more in common with the afore-mentioned soundtrack and, whilst wonderful, is the weaker of the three tracks here.

Outshining both of these, however, is the remix of previous single 'Bats In The Attic' which somehow manages to become even more beautiful and heart-rending than the original version. Being more minimalist than the original and adding a distant, rolling piano has evelated it to something ethereal. Hopefully this won't be the last we hear of this collaborative pair!
