Album Review

His debut, although rough around the edges, showed talent and promise, and includes "Wouldn't It Be Good."

Nik;s first and probably one of his best

I love this album and together with the The Riddle it represents the best of 80,s pop. Nik came from nowhere with this and there isn't a bad track on it. The best are not necessarily the most well known either; look to Cloak and Dagger (political and very relevant even now) and Human Racing.

One of the Eighties' best

This is one of the best albums of the 80's and one of my all-time favourites. Every track is good. There are no bad songs. Anyone who likes clever lyrics and great melodies, with classy 80's production, look no further. Download this.

A fine beginning…

If you remember the 80’s and like the music of that era then you should recognise the singles on this album. Count the hits – ‘Dancing Girls’, ‘Wouldn’t It Be Good’, ‘I Won’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me’ and ‘Human Racing’ – they all reached the Top 20! This album introduced the talent that is Nik Kershaw and began what we came to expect from him – catchy songs that you could sing along to, fine musical accompaniments and great lyrics. This is an impressive debut with some absolute classics. Another album well worth downloading.

However, his musical ideas were not limited to heavy metal; after he left school, he joined a jazz-funk band called Fusion. Fusion released one album,...
